FSI “SID&GP” of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade has successfully undergone recertification audit of its quality management system according to ISO 9001:2015 standard.

In December 2020, the FSI "SID&GP" of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade successfully underwent a recertification audit of its quality management system for compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standard (national equivalent - GOST R ISO 9001-2015). The institution received its previous certificate in 2018. Compliance with international standards was also confirmed for the FSI "SID&GP" branch - the Medical and Sanitary Unit.

The standardization system has existed for over half a century. Currently, it includes 21,000 standards covering virtually all aspects of business and technology. The most well-known series is ISO 9000, which relates to management practices in manufacturing and business. The ISO 9001 standard was developed in 1984. Today, more than a million organizations worldwide have obtained this certification. In Russia, its national equivalent GOST R ISO 9001-2015 is in effect.

"We ourselves are engaged in inspecting pharmaceutical manufacturers for compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice," said Vladislav Shestakov, Director of FSI "SID&GP" of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade. "Therefore, obtaining certification for compliance with international quality standards was only a matter of time for us. Several years ago we implemented a quality management system in our institution, received ISO certification in 2018, and have now successfully renewed it."

Following the recertification audit, the audit team confirmed that FSI "SID&GP" of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade and its Medical and Sanitary Unit branch have implemented and maintain a management system in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 (GOST R ISO 9001-2015) requirements. The new certificate is valid until December 2023, with annual surveillance audits required.
