The National Center of Standard Samples has developed a previously unavailable certified reference standard (CRS) for one of Russia's major manufacturers of finished pharmaceutical products, the Kazan-based company JSC Tatchempharmpreparaty.
Furthermore, as part of this partnership, NCSS is performing a complex of laboratory tests for JSC Tatchempharmpreparaty. Combined, these efforts will significantly accelerate the development and market launch of domestically produced medicines.
"Our key mission is to support Russian manufacturers at all stages of drug development. The collaboration with JSC Tatchempharmpreparaty is a prime example of how the country's scientific infrastructure works directly to strengthen pharmaceutical sovereignty," stated Andrey Berman, NCSS General Manager, commenting on the partnership.
In turn, JSC Tatchempharmpreparaty noted that the cooperation with NCSS is strategic and allows to optimize the quality control process for the manufactured drugs.
"We faced a shortage of the corresponding reference standard on the domestic market. The development of this CRS by NCSS is not merely assistance, but a guarantee of quality, which would be unattainable without this standard," emphasized Vitaly Sevodin, Deputy General Director for Quality at JSC Tatchempharmpreparaty.
The companies' collaboration is designed for the long term.
NCSS provides pharmaceutical companies with domestic reference standards and develops them upon specific requests.
Reference standards are the benchmark for drug quality control. They ensure the highest level of accuracy and reproducibility of results at all stages of drug development.
