NCSS Helps Ensure Full-Cycle Localization of API Production in Russia
29.11.2025During the strategic session "FBU GILS and NP," the General Director of the National Center for Standard Samples, Andrei Arkadyevich Berman, presented the key results of the center's work over the past two years and plans for the future.
In his report, he noted that the main achievement was a fivefold increase in product sales volumes. This growth was made possible by the targeted expansion of the portfolio of developed standard samples within the framework of the import substitution program.
The total number of developed and certified standard samples at the end of 2025 amounts to over 250 items, of which 74 are recognized as interstate samples.
In addition to the increase in sales volumes, the NCSS successfully implemented a quality management system in 2024 and obtained GMP certification, which, in turn, reflected an expansion in the range of laboratory services. The General Director of the NCSS specifically highlighted the launch of the first domestic chromatographic column for HPLC, developed in collaboration with Belarusian partners.
"These facts confirm that the development strategy we are implementing is yielding concrete results," noted Andrei Berman. "In 2025, we managed to maintain the achieved pace, and we look confidently into the future, striving to build on this success."
In conclusion of his speech, the General Director of the NCSS outlined the main development vectors for the coming years. The focus will not only be on increasing the production volumes of standard samples and the serial production of chromatographic columns.
The NCSS plans to actively explore new promising areas for itself: veterinary medicine, food industry, doping control, and the development of biotechnological standard samples.
