NCSS at the III International Conference “Innovative Medicines: from Molecule to Patient”

From 20 to 22 October 2026, the A. P. Nelyubin Institute of Pharmacy hosted the III International Conference “Innovative Medicines: from Molecule to Patient”, dedicated to the Institute’s 90th anniversary. NCSS took part in the event, presenting its developments and capabilities in reference materials, active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) synthesis, and research work for the pharmaceutical industry.

The conference was held in a hybrid format and brought together leading Russian and international scientists, developers, and industry practitioners.

Participants included V. V. Kosenko, Head of the Scientific Centre for Expert Evaluation of Medicinal Products of the Ministry of Health of Russia; L. V. Titova, Executive Director of the Union of Professional Pharmaceutical Organizations (SPFO); and V. A. Dmitriev, Director General of the Association of Russian Pharmaceutical Manufacturers (ARPM). Representatives of the Kaluga Pharmaceutical Cluster, the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation also took part.

Presenting NCSS research capabilities

As part of the exhibition programme, NCSS specialists introduced conference participants to the company’s core products — reference materials — and presented the organisation’s capabilities in performing research work for the pharmaceutical industry.

Particular attention was given to NCSS’s key areas of activity: developing approaches to the synthesis of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), developing finished dosage forms, creating and certifying new reference material names, and conducting a wide range of laboratory studies.

Conference participants were able to explore opportunities for cooperation with NCSS in each of the areas presented.

With the support of NCSS, the conference’s scientific programme included the presentation “Study of the impurity profile of medicinal products from the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug group in the context of developing and certifying domestic certified reference materials of an approved type”.

The presentation addressed the approach to certifying reference materials for impurity compounds used in the Russian Federation within the system of certified reference materials of an approved type.

Particular attention was also given to the prospects for developing this system in the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

Developing scientific cooperation

NCSS highly values its cooperation with the A. P. Nelyubin Institute of Pharmacy, one of the company’s partners in research-intensive projects, and welcomes the expansion of research contacts with other interested organisations.

The National Center for Standard Samples congratulates the staff of the A. P. Nelyubin Institute of Pharmacy on its 90th anniversary and wishes them further scientific achievements and successful research and educational projects.
